Egyptian police nabbed more than 400 pounds of explosives in Sinai that police suspect was bound for Gaza.
The explosives, which were ready to be moved, were found Friday hidden in a village near the Suez Canal after police were tipped off by local residents, AFP reported.
Egyptian police believe the explosives were to be moved into Gaza via tunnels under the Egyptian border. The police destroyed two tunnels south of Rafah on Thursday, according to AFP.
