JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli soldier was wounded when a roadside bomb blew up near his tank on the southern border with Gaza.
The soldier was injured by shrapnel and the tank was damaged in Thursday’s attack.
The bomb attack came two days after Israel’s Air Force attacked what it identified as a terrorist tunnel in northern Gaza. Two Palestinians who the Israeli military said were part of a terror cell planning to launch a rocket attack on Israel were killed in the airstrike.
