A little comity, in time for repentance

 Vice President Joe Biden hosted the Jewish leadership at his residence, the Naval observatory, yesterday, for the New Year.

The news takeaway is that he is ready to explain what he meant when he said Jonathan Pollard will walk out of Buttner over his dead body.

But there was a lot of lovin’, too, participants say — from bouquets to the American Jewish story, how his own Irish upbringing made him sensitive to the Jewish experience, etc.

And the extraordinary moment below where Eric Cantor and Debbie Wasserman Schultz seem — happy together.
