WASHINGTON (JTA) — A youth orchestra comprised of Israeli and Palestinian musicians will perform at the State Department.
“HEARTBEAT’s goal is to build trust between Israeli and Palestinian youth through the power of music,” said a State Department statement describing the concert to take place Nov. 8 at the department’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.
“The young musicians accomplish their ‘sustained music-based dialogue’ through a blend of hip hop, jazz, folk, and rock,” it said.
