1,000 Hungarian and Rumanian Jews Arrive in Vienna After Crossing Borders Illegally

The influx of Jewish refugees from south-eastern countries into Austria, which almost stopped during the summer, reached a new peak during the last few days when 600 Jews–most of them Hungarians–arrived here after crossing the border illegally. About 400 Rumanian Jews also arrived here this week.
