One thousand Jewish families in the towns and villages of Eastern Galicia suffered as a result of the flood which affected the region last week, according to figures made known today. The families are without any means of rehabilitation.
The official report states that altogether 52,000 families suffered in the 10 towns and 444 villages in Eastern Galicia affected by the flood. Fifty three persons are reported drowned.
