100,000 Jewish Displaced Persons Settled in New York in 15 Years

Some 100,000 Jewish displaced persons and refugees have been settled in New York City since July 1949, when the New York Association for New Americans was organized as an immigrant aid agency by the United Jewish Appeal, it was reported today at NYANA’s 15th annual meeting here. Martin Kleinbard was elected president of the New York Association for New Americans, succeeding J. Clarence Daviea, Jr., who was chosen chairman of the executive board.
