Two French municipalities have just decided to name streets after Lt.-Col. Alfred Dreyfus — the famous Captain Dreyfus of the trial which rocked France at the end of the last century — who died July 12, 1935.
The Municipality of Mulhouse, one of the largest cities in Alsace, has invited Premier Leon Blum to preside at the ceremony when one of its principal streets is renamed for the Jewish army officer. The date of the ceremony has not been fixed.
Grosnes is the other town which decided to honor Dreyfus.
