Two Jews were wounded, a synagogue and several Jewish homes were damaged by a series of bomb explosions which early this morning rocked Katowice and its environs. The bombs were believed to have been planted by Endeks, members of the anti-Semitic Nationalist Democratic Party.
In Katowice a bomb shattered the entrance to the synagogue. In the nearby town of Lipiny, windows in the home of a Jewish merchant named Schell were shattered and Mr. Schell was injured. A second bomb placed in the home of another Jewish merchant named Fleischer was discovered and removed before it exploded.
A Jewish merchant named Laub was wounded when a bomb exploded in his home in Hrobaczow. Another bomb destroyed the stockroom of a shop owned by a Mr. Steinitz.
