A total of 27,000 Jewish immigrants have entered Palestine since 1918, according to a statement by Ormsby Gore, of the Goloniaal Office, in the House of Commons today.

Ormsby Gore was asked whether he was informed about the “attack on the peaceful Arab demonstration in Jerusalem last week, when several Arabs were wounded?”

He replied that a few Arabs were wounded when they interfered with the police who were attempting to arrest certain individuals shouting provocative and abusing language at the Jews and singing pro-Turkish songs. Order has since prevailed throughout the country, Mr. Gore added.
