500 Displaced Jews Sail from Germany for United States; 300 Aided by JDC and Usna

A total of 499 Jewish DP’s, 323 of whom were aided by the Joint Distribution Committee, left Bremerhaven, Germany, for the United States this week-end, it was announced today by the J.D.C. The emigrants, who sailed on U.S. Army transports General Taylor and General Stewart, will be received on their arrival in New York by representatives of the United Service for New Americans.
