50,000 March in Tel Aviv’s Greatest May Day Parade; Jaffa Arabs Carry Israel Flag

More than 50,000 persons today participated in the largest May Day parade ever held in this city. Israel’s flag and red banners were carried by delegations of trade unions, labor cooperatives and other affiliates of the Histadrut, Israel’s Federation of Labor.

Jaffa Arabs affiliated with Israel’s Labor Party Mapai also participated in the parade carrying the Israeli flag. Hundreds of modern self-propelled agricultural machines, huge tractors and bulldozers, symbolizing. Israel’s upbuilding effort, rolled along in the parade.
