A total of 5,631 Jews entered Palestine in October, it was announced today in the Official Gazette. Of this number 399 came in under the capitalist category, which means that they had to bring with them a minimum capital of $5,000. Net increase in the Jewish population of Palestine during October was 7,397. Immigration figures for the first ten months of the year reveal that 51,640 Jews entered Palestine in that period.
