A 37-year-old Palestinian with El Salvador citizenship was shot and killed by Israeli border police at an army roadblock outside Bethlehem over the weekend. Israeli police said the border police opened fire on the vehicle after the Palestinian ignored orders to pull over and tried to run over a border policeman. Another Palestinian who was in the car said the border police opened fire on them unexpectedly.
