A British attorney demanded that former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres be charged with murder, torture and violation of human rights. According to a report in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, the lawyer used Britain’s arrest of former Chilean leader Augusto Pinochet as the basis for his demand. The lawyer made the announcement before Peres’ upcoming visit to Britain.
