A British Jewish leader asked the British government to promise it will return Nazilooted works, found in British national collections, to their owners or heirs. Holocaust Educational Trust Chairman Lord Greville Janner’s appeal came just before publication this week of results of an investigation into artworks British museums acquired after Hitler came to power in 1933.
