A Canadian parliamentary committee is arranging for an October meeting of Israeli and Palestinian lawmakers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The goals of the meeting, slated for Oct. 14 to Oct. 16, are to build a new line of communication between Israelis and Palestinians and discuss how Canada can play a more constructive role in the region, its Canadian organizers say.
