A candidate for the New York state legislature was blasted for anti-Semitic remarks on a recent cable television show. State Sen. Seymour Lachman, a Democrat representing parts of New York City, said Demeza Delhomme’s comments were “malicious, illogical and full of lies.” According to a transcript, Delhomme, running in Rockland County, said, “The poor person who used to give to the collection at church cannot do so anymore — it goers into the Jew’s pocket,” and said that Jews “create policies to leave you behind.”
