A Catholic leader in Brazil minimized the Holocaust. Dadeus Grings, the archbishop of Porto Alegre, caused an uproar after he declared that no more than 1 million Jews died during the Holocaust. “We, Catholics, were the major victims of the Holocaust,” Grings told a Brazilian Catholic Web site.
