A. D. Davis Elected President of Chicago Jewish Federation

A. D. Davis has been elected president of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, it was announced here today, He succeeds Joseph L. Gidwitz, who has served for the past three years.

Active in Jewish communal affairs for many years, Mr. Davis has been vice-president of the Jewish Federation for the past three years. He was a vice-president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and is presently a member of the national council of the American Joint Distribution Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.
