Dore Schary, national chairman of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, declared here today that there has been a “subtle steady decline” in anti-Jewish discrimination “especially where there has been increased contact between Jews and non-Jews.” He spoke at the ADL’s 52nd annual meeting.
In a session discussing Soviet anti Semitism, B’nai B’rith President Label Katz said that Soviet leaders have created a senseless “neither nor” world for the Soviet Jews which says to him, “You are a Jew, but you can’t be Jewish.” He urged the American Jewish community to unite in a “patient and persistent” appeal to the new Kremlin leaders for the restoration of Jewish religious and nationality rights.
