A European Jewish businessman and official received one of Poland’s highest honors. Moshe Kantor, a Russian-born businessman, received the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit from Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski. Kantor, chairman of the European Jewish Congress’ board of governors, was one of the funders of this year’s events commemorating the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
