A former public security minister in the Likud government of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has become the latest Israeli political figure to face possible criminal charges. Israeli police have recommended that Avigdor Kahalani be indicted for obstruction of justice for allegedly leaking information to the publisher of the Ma’ariv newspaper, Ofer Nimrodi, about an investigation against him.
