A Hamas leader called on Iraqi insurgents to stop taking hostages. “We are against kidnappings and we wish the Iraqi resistance would stay away from this behavior and concentrate on its natural right in defending its land and people, by resisting the occupation forces, foremost the American occupation,” Khaled Meshaal said Monday in an interview with The Associated Press in Cairo.
