A month-long exhibition of the paintings of Simha Nornberg of Tel Aviv closed at the Covenant Club here several days ago. Fifty canvases were on display depicting scenes from shtetle life, Biblical subjects and the holocaust. Nornberg was acclaimed “the second Chagall” by Sun-Times art critic Prof. A. Haydon who teaches art at the University of Chicago. While in Chicago, the Israeli artist was a guest on local television and radio.
