A new film about Europe’s most prestigious classical music festival shows its close ties to Hitler and anti-Semitism. “The Salzburg Festival: A Brief History,” features performances in the Austrian city by greats such as Placido Domingo and Daniel Barenboim, as well as rare footage of Hitler in Salzburg, his officers at festival performances and cheering crowds welcoming the Nazis in 1938.
