A Palestinian policeman was killed and two Israeli border police were wounded in fighting Monday at Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity. During Monday’s standoff, a fire broke out near an adjacent church. Each side blamed the other for the fire, which broke out in a second-floor meeting hall above the courtyard of St. Katherine’s.
