A recently formed Reform Jewish congregation in Milan will dedicate a Torah on Saturday. The scroll is a gift to Beth Shalom from New York’s Temple Emanu-El. Rabbi Awraham Soetendorp, president of the European Region of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, will conduct the service. Beth Shalom is one of two small non-Orthodox congregations in Milan.
