A representative of the Jewish Agency for Israel visited Iraq’s tiny Jewish community. During his three-day trip last week, Kaye checked on the condition of roughly 35 community members, and was updated on the condition of the community’s archives, which had been confiscated by Saddam Hussein’s regime.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
