A Russian Jewish media tycoon expects the Kremlin to take further steps against him and against other Russian Jews who criticize President Vladimir Putin. Freed several days after he was jailed earlier this month, Vladimir Goussinsky made the prediction in a letter to the World Jewish Congress. Goussinsky owns Russia’s only independent television station and is the leader of the Russian Jewish Congress.
