A sculpture commemorating hundreds of victims of Nazism in central Slovakia has been damaged by vandals for the second time in eight months. The $100,000 statue in Nemecka, created by Slovak sculptor Klara Patakyova, was unveiled in 1959 to commemorate the 900 local victims whom the Nazis tortured to death after the 1944 Slovak national uprising.
