A team headed by the Egyptian intelligence chief arrived in the Gaza Strip on Sunday to continue efforts to negotiate a cease-fire among Palestinian groups. Palestinian sources said Israel had proposed a three-day cease-fire, but last Friday’s assassination of another Hamas militant in Gaza sank the plan, Israel Radio reported.
