A top Israeli official said Israel should consider withdrawing from the Gaza Strip earlier than planned. “I would definitely lean toward the possibility of bringing the date forward,” Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Israel Radio on Thursday. “Developments of recent days have suggested the direction in which clashes and protests are going.”
