A U.S. court upheld a decision to revoke the citizenship of an American citizen accused of shooting Jews as a member of a Nazi unit.
The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati ruled Thursday that John Kalymon, 87, should lose his citizenship, The Associated Press reported.
The ruling upholds a judge’s decision last year that Kalymon was ineligible for U.S. citizenship because of his service in the Nazi-operated Ukrainian Auxiliary Police, which was involved in the deportation and killing of Jews.
Kalymon, who lives in Michigan, had appealed that ruling.
