A U.S. judge is allowing John Demjanjuk to remain in the United States until an appeals court rules on his deportation. But District Court Judge Paul Matia recently refused to overturn his own decision earlier this year to deport Demjanjuk for lying about his work as a Nazi concentration camp guard when he entered the United States in 1952.
