A U.S. representative launched an initiative to make the late Anne Frank an honorary U.S. citizen. Rep. Steve Israel (R-N.Y.) launched the congressional initiative Monday to honor the Jewish teenage diarist from Amsterdam, who died in the Holocaust. Only six people are believed to be honorary U.S. citizens.
