A Washington concert to mark Israel’s 55th birthday has been postponed from next week until December. Organizers denied speculation that cancellation of the May 19 event was due to poor ticket sales, saying it was postponed because of the sensitive nature of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s visit to Washington the following day.
