About 200 Holocaust survivors have been paid an average of $10,000 under a fast track process for settling Holocaust-era insurance claims. The World Jewish Congress praised a group of five European insurers for paying a total of about $2 million, but criticized the firms for rejecting several hundred claims without providing reasons for their decisions.
