Rabbi Isidore Weil, former chief rabbi of Colmar and of Upper Alsace, died in Berne yesterday at the aged f 89.
Dr. Weil was in the rabbinate fr 49 years, 42 of which he spent as chief rabbi of Colmar. He was the author of many rabbinical works in the French language.
