The first Jewish group to announce a definite policy towards the British Royal Commission, appointed last month to investigate disorders in Palestine, is the Agudath Israel, non-Zionist orthodox organization, which declared through its British council meeting here today that it was prepared to cooperate in principle.
H.A. Goodman, British Aguda leader, urged the council to consider the proposal made by I.M.Sieff. Vice-president of the English Zionist Federation, for the appointment of an Arab-Jewish investigative body to work independently of the Royal Commission and to be headed by an impartial expert. Mr. Sieff suggested Sir Flinders Petrie, noted Egyptologist, as chairman for such a committee.
