Aharon Tzvi Propess Dead at 73

Aharon Tzvi Propess, 73, one of Zeev Jabotinsky’s disciples and first member of Betar, died here this evening of a heart attack. Propess was engaged in recent years in organizing the international choir meetings in Israel, especially the Jewish choir festival, the Zimriya, which he founded. He also initiated and organized the Israeli music and drama festivals which were held mainly in Caesarea’s ancient amphitheater which he helped to renovate and reconstruct. Funeral services will be held tomorrow.
