Aimee Semple McPherson, the Los Angeles evangelist, who recently arrived here, has actually succeeded in converting two Moslems, according to a rumor that spread through the country today as she quietly left for Syria. The report has it that in connection with the ceremony of feet-washing of believers at the Jordan River she delivered a speech at Gethsemane.

In an interview with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency she said she thought Zionism was “wonderful” and declared that it “thrilled” her beyond words. “The Bible said that the Jews would be scattered throughout the world as corn through a fine sieve and they have been. But the Bible also said that he who is scattered shall be gathered up again and undoubtedly that is just what is happening here now. They are coming and nothing can stop them.”
