Right-wing newspapers in Morocco have opened a new attack against Moroccan Jewish organizations, it was reported here today from Casablanca. A particular target is the Alliance Israelite Universelle.
Al Alam, organ of the dominant Istiqlal party, declared that “under the pretext of providing instruction and assistance,” the Alliance “openly plays a principal role in aiding Zionism and aiding the State of Israel.” Al Alam stressed that Morocco would never recognize Israel as the homeland of Jews.
