A tract of land in Palestine costing $100,000, originally set aside for the establishment of an American colony, has been allocated for the settlement of German Jewish refugees by a resolution passed unanimously yesterday at a national conference of the order sons of Zion. Dr. Harris J. Levine, grandmaster of the order, who presided, announced that $70,000 towards the purchase of the land has already been forwarded, through the Jewish national fund, to Palestine, and that the balance is expected to be raised before the annual “Order day,” to be celebrated next March 26.
