Nearly all Jewish industrialists in Budapest have been forced to give up their homes in a move by the Hungarian Government to rid the capital of so-called “inefficient” persons, it was learned here today.
Among the prominent Jewish personalities deported from the Hungarian capital in this new purge of non-Communist elements are reported to be Baron Paul Kornfeld, a former banker; Prof. Josef Frigyose, a loading gynecologist, and Julius Kalmar, a well-known writer.
In the town of Dobreczin, over a hundred Jewish businessmen were summarily evicted from their homes which were handed over to “Stakhanovito” workers.
