American Friends of Tel Aviv University Elects Officers

The Very Rev. James A. Pike, Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in New York, was elected honorary president of the American Friends of Tel Aviv University at a meeting of the group today. Prof. Raphael Patai of Dropsie College and Columbia University, was elected president.

Prof. Israel Efros of Dropsie College and Hunter College outlined to the meeting the aims of the newest department of Tel Aviv University, the Institute of Jewish Studies, which will start functioning next fall.
