The American Fund for Israel Institutions will seek to raise $1,807,540 for the organizations it assists in Israel during the next six weeks, Edward A. Norman, president of the Fund, announced this week-end. Among the events at which funds will be raised are concerts and dinners. Mr. Norman declared that through such affairs a “greater understanding is developed and that America can bring to bear on Israel the beneficial influences of its democratic life.”
