American-Israel relations were discussed by Abba Eban, Israel Minister of Education and Culture, with the leading members of the White House staff in the course of Mr.Eban’s visit to Washington, it was learned today.
He met President Kennedy’s political advisers George McBundy, Walt Rostow, and Arthur Schlesinger; scientific adviser Jerome B. Wiesner and cultural adviser August Hecksher. Mr.Eban was also the guest of honor at a dinner tendered by Israel Ambassador Avrzham Harman. The dinner was attended by Chief Justice Earl Warren of the U. S. Supreme Court; Justice Arthur Goldberg; the Ambassadors of France and Sweden; the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, Anthony Celebrezze; Myer Feldman, Deputy Counsel to President Kennedy; Ambassador Eric Johnston, Assistant Secretaries of State Harlan Cleveland, Philips Talbot, and others.
