Americans for Peace Now praised the new prime minister of the Palestinian Authority for having his Cabinet confirmed. Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, is expected to “wage a sustained fight” against terrorism, help jump-start efforts toward peace and improve the lives of the Palestinians, the group said Tuesday in a statement.
