An Australian court overturned a ruling by a Jewish court. Judge Julie Dodds-Streeton found last week that judges on the Beit Din were biased when they ruled that David Mond, a member of the Caulfield Hebrew Congregation, must apologize or face expulsion from the synagogue regarding his complaints over the way the synagogue ran its elections.
